Chinese Ink Painting (Gongbi Fan Painting) Workshop 工笔扇面工作坊

Regular price $85.00 SGD

Step into the serene world of traditional Chinese ink painting and discover the refined art of Gongbi (工笔). Known for its meticulous brushwork, delicate layering, and vibrant detailing, Gongbi is a classical painting style that emphasizes precision, elegance, and the beauty of observation.

In this 2.5-hour workshop, you will learn to translate these careful observations into refined brushwork, guided by our experienced instructor. Every step of the process is carefully taught from sketching fine lines to layering pigments, gradually building depth, translucency, and vibrancy in your design. Participants will also gain insight into the history of Song dynasty painting, offering a deeper understanding of classical Chinese art and its enduring influence.

Beyond technique, Gongbi painting encourages mindfulness and presence, allowing each brushstroke to become a moment of calm reflection. This workshop provides not only an opportunity to learn a traditional art form but also a chance to slow down, cultivate focus, and connect with a centuries-old creative practice.

All materials are provided, and no prior experience is necessary. By the end of the session, you will take home your hand-painted fan, a personal artwork that doubles as a beautiful decorative piece, perfect for displaying at home or gifting to someone special.
